Welcome to Pakistan by Peter Westbenridge
Welcome to Pakistan is a travelogue/vlog by Peter Westbenridge who travelled from Wagah, Lahore, Islamabad and went over to the northern areas of Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan riding on a motorbike. During his travelogue he met with local people, renowned personalities, enjoyed open-hearted hospitality, culture and food. He literally fell in love with nature by travelling deep into the mountains of the beautiful northern Pakistan.

BTW in one clip, he has a police escort. In multiple places he mentions having to stop at police checkpoints fairly often. This is not how you promote tourism.

Yes, Zak! utterly agreed with you! such security escorts don't convey a positive message especially amongst the foreigners/viewers. Hopefully things will change in future.

It’s good that there are now social media accounts of tourists to Pakistan, even if most are sponsored. However, all these are adventure/extreme travelers and not regular people.

I have been trying to make a plan to travel in Pakistan for some time and have found it a difficult process despite knowing the language and culture to book anything

The good impact of social media is that some of them sometimes collaborate with others beyond expectations whether sponsored or not. But some blogers and vlogers are doing some good work by giving others some sort of support and the good thing is that Pakistan which was known for negative reasons thanks to the incompetency of our people and negative western media hype, is now coming into the lime light and tourism industry is benefiting from it.
