First of all congratulations on your efforts to provide Uphpbb2. This is great sotware. I have account on DreamHost.com and if developers wish to host some thing on dream host i can give free access to hosting websites.
I have tried with dreamhost default php5 and mysql 5 for installation. Installation went on smoothly but when i tried to make a new post then then i got the following message

Could not insert new word matches

DEBUG MODE

INSERT INTO phpbb_search_wordmatch (post_id, word_id, title_match) SELECT 4, word_id, 0 FROM phpbb_search_wordlist WHERE word_text IN ('ادفا')

Please can some one help me to find out the soultion.

نیا ایپڈیٹ صحیح کام کر رہا ہے۔
[align=left:af0a82bec8]I have installed laste update and it is to comfirm that new UphpBB2 works well with php5.x and Mysql 5.x. On dream host you dont have to recomplie php as default installations are compatible. They support mbstring and mysql unicode support.

I have one more suggestion why not convert PostNuke into Urdu as it is quite mature software.

From where we can get additions packages for UphpBB2 in urdu like file attachment and others.

ہم بھی ڈریم‌ہوسٹ پر ہیں۔ وہاں ہمیں صرف ایک مسئلہ ہوا تھا اور وہ یہ کہ وہ پی‌ایچ‌پی کو cgi کے طور پر چلاتے ہیں۔ اس کی وجہ سے mbstring ہوتے ہوئے بھی آپ سٹرنگ فنکشن اوورلوڈ نہیں کر سکتے۔ اگر پی‌ایچ‌پی کو اپاچی موڈیول کے طور پر چلایا جائے تو اوولوڈنگ ‎.htaccess میں ممکن ہے۔ دوسرا طریقہ اپنی پی‌ایچ‌پی کمپائل کرنا ہے۔

پی‌ایچ‌پی‌نیوک کو مقامیانے کا ابھی سوچا نہیں۔ میرا خیال ہے کہ پہلے ابھی ایک قسم کی ایک سافٹویر کو ہی مقامیا جائے۔ فی الحال ہم ورڈپریس اور جملہ پر کام کر رہے ہیں۔

پی‌ایچ‌پی‌بی‌بی کے کئی موڈ کا اردو ترجمہ ہم ادھر محفل میں استعمال کر رہے ہیں مگر انہیں صحیح طور سے تیار کر کے پبلک کرنے کا ابھی وقت نہیں ملا۔ کیا آپ اس سلسلے میں مدد کرنا چاہیں گے؟

I am not a programmer at all , and i wish to be but time..........
I can help regarding this matter by translating the english into urdu and providing a very good input for ideas and management type help. I am basically a CISSP person. So please let me know how i can put ideas for this software and other modules, for my inputs for another development please see

Regarding Dream Host, you can even use .htaccess with default installations i am already using .htaccess for some of my websites for short urls and redirections. And it works fine.

Looking for providing help as much as i can and what i can.

ندیم۔ سوفٹویر کی لوکلائزیشن خاصا کام ہوتا ہے اور اس میں زیادہ حصہ لینگویج فائلوں کے ترجمہ کا ہی ہوتا ہے۔ اگر آپ پوسٹ‌نیوک کا اردو ترجمہ تیار کرنا چاہیں تو اردو ویب اس کے لیے اچھا پلیٹ فارم ثابت ہو سکتا ہے۔ آپ اس ضمن میں اپنے آئیڈیاز شوق سے یہاں پوسٹ کریں۔ اگر ضرورت پڑی تو اس کے لیے ایک الگ سب فورم بنائی جا سکتی ہے۔

i am agreed to start this project. I am helping in co-ordinating the project and translating the english into urdu. As i told before i am not a programmer at all. So you should assing some programmer(s) with this project also along with me. I preffer to start it as a separate project and with in separate forum.

For shell access it is not an issue. I have my dh account also and i will appriciate your shell acount also. But firs we need to arrange a team for this project to go ahead. and my working speed is quite fast. I have only problem that other poeple often dont walk fast enough with me. :D

ندیم، میرے تجربے کے مطابق کسی ویب اپلیکیشن کی لوکلائزیشن کا کام 90 فیصد لینگویج فائلز کی ٹرانسلیشن پر مشتمل ہوتا ہے۔ اس کے بعد کچھ کام سٹائل شیٹس کو ایڈجسٹ کرنے کا ہوتا ہے اور ان دونوں کاموں کے لیے پروگرامنگ کی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی۔ اس لیے آپ بلا جھجک کام شروع کر سکتے ہیں۔ میں اس پوزیشن میں نہیں ہوں کہ لوگوں کو آپ کے ساتھ کام پر لگا سکوں۔ ہم زیادہ تر کسی کام کا آغاز کرکے اس کا اعلان کر دیتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو اس میں شمولیت کی دعوت دیتے ہیں۔ پوسٹ نیوک کے کیس میں بھی یہی کریں گے۔

باقاعدہ کام کرنے کے لیے ضروری ہے کہ تمام سورس فائلز کو سبورژن کی رپازٹری میں ڈالا جائے اور پھر فائلیں چیک آؤٹ کرکے کام کیا جائے۔ آپ بتائیں کہ پوسٹ‌نیوک کے کس ورژن سے کام شروع کیا جائے؟

آپ کا جذبہ قابل ستائش ہے۔ میرے پیپر نہ ہوتے تو آپ کو یہ ماننا پڑتا کہ میں آپ سے بھی “کالا“ ہوں۔ یعنی جلدی مچانے والا :lol:
بہرحال شروع میں آپ کو شاید اکیلے ہی کام کرنا پڑے مگر پھر ہمارے اراکین کو ہوش آتا جائے گا۔ ویسے محفل پر خوش آمدید اگرچہ آپ کی گفتگو صرف منتظمین سے ہی چل رہی ہے ابھی۔

I request a complete new category rather than a forum as postnuke is not a small thing to do. It has a lot of addons and a lot of stuff e.g pnPhpbb2 is already a part of postnuke. So we will start core translation and then we will move to addons so a category will be quite help ful to divide the things in proper way. Please do it as soon as possible so that we can start the core translation. I would like to follow the standard translation method and will request a modified urdu theme rather than pluginng things right into the core.
This will give flexibility and options to run multiple languages at one portal and theme switch.
