It started development at Washington State University as an undergraduate senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it. Originally intended as a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with Windows, it has grown into a powerful yet simple tool for photo and image editing. The programming language used to create Paint.NET is C#, with a small amount of C++ for setup and shell-integration related functionality

Excellent software. Beats GIMP (open src) hands down. Its fast. Very good UI. With a few more plugins this may give Adobe Photoshop a run ... great work guys/girls.!!!

An awesome paint program with advanced features, totally for free! Eliminates much of the bulk of Photoshop for those that don't require the advanced features. This latest version includes third party effects that you previously had to download seperately. Great idea!

انک سکیپ میں‌ استعمال کرچکا ہوں۔ ونڈوز پر یہ اکثر ناکام ہوجاتا تھا۔ چلتے چلتے کریش۔
لینکس پر ٹرائی نہیں‌ کیا۔
یہ صرف ایک ویکٹر گرافک پروگرام ہے۔ دوسرے اس میں کورل ڈرا جتنی آسانی نہیں۔
