AssalamOAlaikum. It is with great pleasure that I am presenting you UrduPress, the Urdu version of the WordPress blogging software. The Urdu tranlsation of WordPress has been provided by Muhammad Shakir Aziz. This release of UrduPress is based on WordPress version 2.3.2. In addition to the Urdu translation, UrduPress contains the following enhancements as well as customizations for easily publishing Urdu Urdu content:

Urdu customization of the default kubrick theme
Installation pages are also displayed in Urdu
Urdu OpenPad? plugin is installed by default which makes it easy to publish posts as well write comments in Urdu
The style sheet of default kubrick theme can be changed by the user for displaying the blog in several different fonts

Future work

Providing Urdu editing support in the wysiwyg editor
Enabling the default kubrick theme for also publishing English posts

بالآخر ایک طویل انتظار کے بعد کے بعد اردو پریس، یعنی ورڈپریس بلاگنگ سوفٹویر کا اردو ورژن دستیاب ہے۔ اردو پریس کی تیاری کے لیے ورڈپریس کا ترجمہ محمد شاکر عزیز نے فراہم کیا ہے۔ میں نے کچھ روز قبل اردو پریس کی تیاری کے ضمن میں ایک پوسٹ لکھی تھی۔ اس کے بعد میں اردو اوپن پیڈ پلگ ان میں کچھ خامیاں دور کی ہیں اور ورڈپریس کے کوڈ میں بھی کچھ تبدیلیاں کی ہیں۔ اب ہر یوزر کے لیے بائی ڈیفالٹ وزی وگ ایڈیٹر غیر فعال کر دیا جاتا ہے اور اردو ایڈیٹر فعال ہوتا ہے۔

اردو پریس کا موجودہ ورژن ورڈپریس کے ورژن 2.3.2 پر مبنی ہے۔ ذیل میں مستقبل میں اردو پریس کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے آئیڈیاز پیش کیے جا رہے ہیں:

– اردو پریس کو ورڈپریس کے حالیہ ورژن پر اپڈیٹ کرنا – اردو پریس کے وزی وگ ایڈیٹر میں اردو ایڈیٹنگ سپورٹ فراہم کرنا – اردو پریس کی ڈیفالٹ kubrick تھیم میں انگریزی مواد کی اشاعت کی گنجائش پیدا کرنا
